藏香猪可以通过放养来节约饲料成本，但规模化养殖后放养区域的草料很难满足大批量藏香猪的需求，因此利用优质牧草养藏香猪，不仅可降低饲料成本，还可提高藏香猪的瘦肉率，但要限定食量。藏香猪的养殖夏秋季节，种草养猪以鲜草直接饲喂为主要的牧草利用方式；冬春季节，以优质草粉或打浆青贮的牧草作为混合饲料成分喂饲。利用优质牧草养藏香猪，可降低饲料成本，提高猪的瘦肉率。养藏香猪的优质牧草主要有：hn-mc籽粒苋、hn-mc俄罗斯饲料菜、hn-mc苦荬菜、hn-mc冬牧70黑麦草、hn-mc菊苣、hn-mc苜蓿等。牧草打浆或切断制作青贮饲料与精饲料搭配饲喂的利用方式：只要牧草当季直接利用还有剩余，就可以打浆或切断制作青贮饲料，在其它缺少青绿饲料的季节与精饲料搭配饲喂，具体的日粮添加数量可以根据猪的品种、生长阶段和生理状况来确定.藏香猪的喂养要每天饲喂三餐，早、中两餐只饲喂牧草供猪自由采食，晚餐待收猪回舍时饲喂饲料。
